BAOER-507-fountain-pen-meduim-nib-EIGHT-RUNNING-HORSES- Rose Gold +6-cartriges Blue
A beautiful fountain pen from Baoer featuring the legendary Eight Horses of King Mu Wang in raised relief on a Rose Gold panel encircling the pen. It's a great looking pen with it's feature panel and glossy black cap and blind cap at either end of the panel and it's tasteful gold trim and pocket clip.
It's not just good looking though, it's made from brass and steel and has a solid, substantial feel to it. It's at the heavy end of the medium weight pens at 41g but is nicely balanced and a pleasure to write with, with or without the cap posted. The nib is a two toned gold and silver, stainless steel medium (0.7mm) which writes very smoothly.
The Eight Horses Collection
The horse is a honoured animal in Chinese culture - a symbol of persistence, swiftness, intelligence and success or achievement. "Ma dao, cheng gong" is a famous saying in China meaning "Where there are horses, there is success."
Our Eight Horses Collection features the Eight Horses of King Mu Wang, one of the greatest rulers of Zhou, who toured the far reaches of his kingdom with his legendary eight chargers. According to legend, King Mu Wang meets with the Queen Mother of the West who passes on to him Secret Teachings. This legend is often interpreted as an allegory of the Taoist Master and his Disciple.
Our collection features fountain pens, rollerball and ballpoint pens depicting the Eight Horses of Mu Wang in raised relief in copper, silver, and bronze. Artwork (including pens) depicting the Eight Horses of Mu Wang are often given as gifts to represent best wishes for success or in recognition of achievement.
