Additional Information

Fountain Pen
Invented in the early 19th century, the fountain pen is one of the most used writing instruments in the world. Writing is smooth and easy and provides satisfaction with a result that the ballpoint pen can not achieve. This pen can use either an international standard ink cartridge or it can be refilled by bottled ink.
Collectors will appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of our pens where the brand will be found on the band of the cap and/or on the pen nib.

Do You Know ?
According to WikiCollector, English inventor Bartholomew Folsch sought a patent for a pen that could hold ink within it in 1809, in 1819 John Scheffer received a British patent for his half quill, half metal pen that he attempted to mass manufacture, and in 1822 John Mitchell started to produce pens with metal nibs. In May 1827 the French Government patented something called the 'Fountain Pen' with a replaceable ink cartridge...however, none of these designs were particularly reliable, with many suffering from leaking reservoirs and an unsteady ink flow. In 1883 a New York insurance salesman named L. E. Waterman patented a pen design which applied the principle of capillary action as seen in quills through a feed with a groove for air intake and three narrow slits in the bottom of the groove.
